I just saw the new Total Recall movie this past weekend and although I am a huge fan of the original, I must say I was pretty impressed by it. It wasn't the greatest but i still enjoyed it. I loved the fact that they used the same names as the original movie as well as the mentioning of the plot of the original Recall (a guy went to recall and wanted to live on mars..)There are even a few hidden, we'll call them cameo lookalikes that were shown.
Colin Farrell did an exception job playing (Douglas Quaid/Carl Hauser), pefect choice on Kate Beckinsale playing 'Lori Quaid' she did it fiercely. No complaints on Jessica Biel for the role of 'Melina' either. Two smoking hot girls in one action movie, only question is do you root for the good guys or the bad ones?
Story line was slightly different but I guess it would be pointless to watch if they were exactly the same. If you liked the original then I would recommend giving the remake a watch, just don't expect to see Aronld.
I rate this movie with 4 out of 5 stars.
